The Leibster Award

Last night I was checking out my email when I got a notice for my face book page. I was surprised to see that I had been given an award. Now I never win anything, and I was not sure what it really meant.

I read that Susan of The Weekly Sweet Experiment had given me some blog love in the form of the Leibster award.  This award is so neat because it comes from fellow bloggers.  It is for newer bloggers that have a following of less than 200, and the award is then passed on.

Susan writes :

"The Liebster Blog Award is for up and coming bloggers who have a following list of less than 200.  Liebster is a German word that means favorite or dearest.  I feel honored that Bridget chose me to receive this award!  Now I get to share this award with five other bloggers I think deserve it."

So after being totally excited and figuring out how to put the award picture on my blog, I went to work finding 5 blogs I wanted to award with this.  It took some time, because I read so many, and a good number of them have over 200 followers. But I am pleased as punch to share the five I picked.  I have sent each of them a note and I hope that they are excited in carrying on the award!

So my 5 blog award winners are (in no particular order)

Jenny At Losing Creek Farm-

What I love is that she is not just about baking she does it all, and she shares it.  Great stuff!

 Alex at Culinary Conquests-

I sort of see myself in Alex.  I started baking and taking courses in high school and I have always loved to learn new things.  In culinary school I learned so much.  But this girl, she is doing with the help of cook books and doing a great job!

Olivia at Morsels and Chips -

This girl is only 18, she is a student and vegetarian.  I have to hand it to her, I do not have the will power for that!  Her stuff looks great and she tries to put a healthy spin on things!

Susan at The Royal Cook-

Susan is a mother to 5 and she still has time to make and post some really great things.  I just love looking at the things she makes!
